Coenzyme Q10

Coenzyme Q10, or CoQ10 is a compound that helps our cells generate energy. Our bodies are naturally able to produce this coenzyme, however it is well known that its production decreases with age. Fortunately you can obtain this enzyme through intravenous infusion.

Coenzyme Q10 is well known for its beneficial effects on the body. Low levels of CoQ10 have been linked to the development of heart disease, brain disorders, diabetes and cancer. CoQ10 is a compound made by your own body that is stored in the mitochondria of the cells. The mitochondria is in charge of the production of energy for our cells. It is also known to protect the cells from oxidative damage and disease causing bacteria and viruses. Research has shown that it plays a crucial role as an antioxidant and reduces inflammation. CoQ10 can be found in highest concentrations in the organs that have the highest demand for energy such as kidneys, liver, lungs and the heart. That is why it is beneficial for many systems in our body.
