Abnormal gut bacteria can affect people’s health in so many ways, from brain fog, to skin problems, to weight gain and even chronic illnesses!

The Gut Health panel tests your gut's nutritional and metabolic function, the amount of gut bacteria, potential parasitic infestation, the gut microflora and overall intestinal health.

This test evaluates your gut's permeability, which is the ability of your gut to absorb micronutrients from your food and transfer them to your bloodstream. It measures the by-products of microbial metabolism, and is particularly useful in detecting the presence of pathogenic microbial overgrowth.

This package includes :

  • A test kit for self collection
  • Laboratory report
  • Online follow-up consultation with our practitioners to analyse the results
  • A Comprehensive report, prepared by the practitioner, summarising the lab results and main concerns, outlining health goals and devising a roadmap to achieve them

When the microbial balance of the gut is disturbed, “bad” bacteria can overgrow and impede the effects of the “good”, predominant bacteria needed for a healthy gut. The test will analyse levels of D-arabinitol, a specific marker for candida, which can cause disease in patients, especially is they are immunocompromised. It will also report levels of D-lactate, which is an indicator of carbohydrate malabsorption.

The  gastrointestinal tract makes up roughly 80% of the body’s immune system. Thus, the function and integrity of this bodily region is paramount to the function and integrity of the body as a whole.

You will be sent a test kit for self collection (stool sample).
