Weight Management

£1,200.00

At Optimise Health, we find that many patients struggle with losing weight and maintaining it. Most weight loss programs or restricted calorie diets work in the short term, but the challenge is to keep a healthy weight for a lifetime. For the weight management program, you will consult a skilled practitioner with years of experience in helping patients to achieve a healthy weight with long-term results. The purpose of our program is to help you lose excess weight and find a healthy way to eat the things you like without creating a yo-yo effect. It focuses on changing your daily routine by adding good habits and breaking the bad habits that can affect your weight. The program aims to re-teach your body how to become self-sufficient in burning fat.

Our program is successful because we look deeply into all the potential causes of stubborn fat accumulation and why you can't shed it, no matter what you try to do. Your practitioner will take a comprehensive look at the factors that could be fuelling your struggle with weight loss. We will investigate your lifestyle, your blood biomarkers, and the bacteria in your gut, as these are all factors that determine how you lose or gain weight.

With our program, your practitioner will conduct comprehensive blood tests and analyse the results  to understand why you are overweight. They will follow up with you to explain the results and detail the next steps of the program.

Comprehensive testing helps us pinpoint exactly where your issues stem from, and we can develop a hyper-personalised program to target the specific dysfunction in your body. For example, some patients may have liver dysfunction, while others have a hormone imbalance issue. Ultimately, the goal of the program is to reactivate the organs so that the hormones can re-balance, and the body can lose weight and maintain it long-term.

Our program is developed by medical professionals that will check your health before starting the weight management program. The program includes individual nutrition that fits your food preferences, so you can improve your health, reduce your health risks and feel great.

Hyper-Personalised Program

The price stated above includes an initial consultation with your practitioner, a package of highly individualised blood tests and a follow-up consultation with full analysis of your results. A proposal for a hyper-personalised program will be created and discussed with you, and this program will be priced separately. This is due to the highly personalised nature of our programs, as we cannot predict the length of your program or the treatments and remedies that will be most suited to you.

Your practitioner will analyse the results of your tests and follow up with you to explain the issues that are preventing you from losing weight. They will discuss your hyper-personalised plan and outline a roadmap that includes nutritional changes and personalised treatments, to help you lose weight sustainably.

This program includes a personalised nutritional menu specially designed for you so that you can make realistic, high impact changes. There is no such thing as a universal diet that works for all. Each body works differently and requires specific nutrients. A personalised nutritional plan is key to replenishing your body with the nutrition it needs, so that it is capable of burning fat effectively.

Our practitioners will analyse all aspects of your health and lifestyle, to target your individual needs and develop a plan that works for you, according to your lifestyle and food preferences. We believe that cooking is an essential part of the weight loss journey and will help you to develop healthy cooking habits and eat out mindfully.

Vitamin and hormone supplements will be combined with personalised nutrition to boost your health, rejuvenate your metabolism, and drive weight loss. Lifestyle recommendations will aim to improve your overall well-being and this includes highly personalised exercise regimes that work for you. Your personalised programme will help you forge new, healthy habits and promote weight loss.

Your practitioner will also address issues with your gut health. Many patients have harmful bacteria in the gut that promote fat accumulation when they eat carbohydrates or sugars. This issue will be remedied with specific probiotics and targeted homeopathic medicine to detoxify your intestine.

During the second to third month, you will be prescribed herbal compounds and homeopathic remedies to re-activate your detoxification organs, including the liver and pancreas. This will help to re-educate your body and make it self-sufficient so it can maintain a long-term weight loss.

Highly tailored IV infusions (around two per month) will help your body absorb antioxidants and the vitamins it is lacking, due to impaired intestinal function. This provides a massive boost for patients and often results in more energy, better mood and weight loss. Rejuvenating treatments such as lymphatic drainage massages are also considered on a case-by-case basis.

At Optimise Health, we conduct thorough tests to reveal the abnormal functions in your body. This includes detecting the presence of harmful gut bacteria, abnormal inflammatory markers, and the levels of specific hormones.

Overweight people are at higher risk of developing problems like high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, thyroid problems, and autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis. The body produces hormones to sustain an overweight state, causing inflammation. This hormone disruption can cause insulin resistance and make it difficult for the body to burn fat.

We will take an in-depth look at your blood biomarkers via a Metabolic Syndrome Profile. This includes a comprehensive lipid profile as high levels of saturated and trans fats in the body can lead to uncontrolled inflammation. C-reactive protein will be measured, as high levels indicate inflammation in the body. We will look at your glucose and insulin levels, as they are often highly unbalanced in overweight individuals. We will also investigate your levels of Adiponectin. This is a protein hormone produced by your fat cells, and higher levels predispose your body to store more fat.

You will also have a comprehensive Biochemistry Profile to better understand any underlying conditions. This will investigate your electrolyte levels – including potassium and calcium levels – liver function, muscle enzymes and bone markers, as these levels can be altered in overweight individuals. For example, being overweight can cause high levels of uric acid, causing low levels of calcium in the bones, and thus increasing the risk of developing osteoporosis. The Biochemistry Profile will also investigate haematology – the red and white blood cells – providing a comprehensive insight into how well your immune system is functioning. For example, an abnormal white blood cell count can indicate problematic gut bacteria, an infection, or inflammation.

The comprehensive bundle of tests, combined with your practitioner’s expert analysis will help to pinpoint your underlying issues so that a highly personalised treatment plan can be recommended.
