Detox

The Detox Program is essential to eliminating waste products such as heavy metals and toxins that accumulate in the body throughout the lifetime.
Many patients suffer from chronic symptoms and illnesses due to the overburden of their lymphatic system. Waste collects from toxic by-products of natural metabolism and environmental toxins. In modern-day life, we are exposed to a range of environmental toxins: it’s in the water we drink, the food we eat, the cleaning products we use, pollution in the air, and toxic mould that goes unnoticed.
The lymphatic system is a network of tissues and organs in the body, including the spleen, liver and kidneys. It is essential in removing toxins and waste from our tissues. Over time, the lymphatic system becomes blocked, and our body cannot properly absorb vitamins and nutrients.
Signs of lymphatic blockage can include fatigue, brain fog, bloating, acne, the feeling of heavy legs, circulation problems, and being overweight. These symptoms indicate that a targeted detox is needed.
Stage 1
Stage 1 is included in the Detox Program. After your initial consultation, a blood test will investigate a wide range of biomarkers. These include liver enzymes, kidney function, inflammatory markers and electrolytes. This will reveal the extent of toxin accumulation throughout your body. A urine toxicology test will detect the type of toxins and heavy metals that overload your system.
Stage 2
In stage 2, a tailored program will be developed to address your issues, identified by the comprehensive tests. The program will detoxify your body through a unique combination of homeopathic medicine, vitamins, herbal medicines and IV compounds. This will be combined with recommended lifestyle changes, including optimised nutrition and exercise to promote a full body detox.
Your tailored program will unblock the lymphatic system, detoxify the liver, lymphatic system and the blood. You can expect to feel more focused, have more energy and attain a higher quality of sleep.
The Detox Programme includes an initial consultation with your doctor, a full set of tests and a follow-up consultation to discuss your personalised Detox Plan.
Stage 2 is priced separately to this program, as it is highly tailored and therefore difficult to predict what will be required to achieve an effective detox for each individual.
As we age, our body accumulates waste products and this disrupts the body’s ability to function normally.
As part of the Detox Program, your doctor will take a full Biochemistry Profile to investigate abnormal levels of biomarkers in the blood. This will reveal how optimally your liver and pancreas are functioning, and the levels of your blood glucose and cholesterol.
Your doctor will also look at specific enzyme levels in the body. This includes M2PK, known as Pyruvate Kinase, found in the colon and is involved in inflammation, sourced from animal-derived protein. Many patients with toxification have high levels of M2PK that can lead to polyps in the colon and potential adenomas.
Other key enzymes include pancreatic enzymes such as lipase and amylase. These are essential to digesting fats and sugars, and abnormal levels can suggest problems with the gut microbiome. Your doctor will also consider your ferritin levels, as high ferritin can indicate too much iron in the body, which is an inflammation marker. Also, C-reactive protein (CRP) will reveal signs of inflammation in your body.
Homeopathic remedies are included as part of your Detox Plan. Homeopathic medicines reawaken the body’s natural ability to detoxify itself. The body can then recognise pathogenic intruders, drive the toxins out of the body and initiate the cleanse and repair process, restoring the body to its optimal functioning state.
In patients who require detoxification, their body has often reached a state of homeostasis with pathogenic invaders and the body does not recognise their presence. This is commonly seen in cases of chronic inflammation.
Homeopathy uses a small amount (a microdose) of a specific toxin. The highly diluted toxin enters the body and encounters its mates. This process kick-starts the body’s ability to recognise the toxins that should not be there, and the detox process begins.
